The Church premieres dual shows sharing a common theme on January 11. “Some of Tom’s Typewriters: From the Collection of Tom Hanks” is installed by creative visionary Simon Doonan, who shares memories with mimosas (January 12). “Some Odes: Sam Messer with Paul Auster, Eleanor Gaver, Denis Johnson and Sharon Olds” also explores typewriters as writers’ tools and painting subjects.
