AD100 interior designer Steven Gambrel certainly doesn’t need an introduction, so I’m thrilled to spotlight this visionary talent and his impeccable renovation of the historic Linden Estate. Likening it to a grand European manor, he combined warmth and utility for livable spaces with rich materials. Steven sees it all, and even he was impressed by Linden’s attributes that far exceed home trends here. Along with its ample space, large public rooms for entertaining, intimate rooms for working at home in privacy, fitness and spa amenities, and a separate guest wing, he’s especially proud of its family office as mother ship.
What were your inspirations in designing Linden Estate?
The house itself, has a remarkable history, and great historic architecture by Grosvenor Atterbury; however, it is the warmth and utility of great European manor houses that really inspired our choices; we want every room to be livable, and layered with rich materials, and easy summer living.
What are some of the latest trends regarding Hamptons luxury real estate?
Linden happens to surpass all the current trends; ample space, large public rooms for entertaining, intimate rooms for working at home in privacy, sports such as indoor swimming, tennis, major gym facilities, and treatment rooms. We even designed a family office to manage complex lives and real estate portfolios. Guests have their separate wing and everyone feels well accommodated.
