Tour the East End’s premier fall exhibitions.
“East End Collected” (Southampton): The group show highlighting Suffolk County artists opens at Southampton Arts Center on October 3.
“Dear Mazie, Sanctuary, Speculation and Sky” (Sag Harbor): Architect and Azurest North community founder Amaza Lee Meredith inspires new commissioned works in the Church’s group show premiering October 3.
“Ross Bleckner: Never the Less” (East Hampton): Catch the artist’s nearly 200 rarely seen small-scale paintings alongside major works at Guild Hall through October 25.
“Abstract Expressionism: The East End, 1940 to Today” (Water Mill): Mostly culled from the Parrish Art Museum’s permanent collection, the group show features work by James Brooks, Helen Frankenthaler and Lee Krasner, among others, through February 14.
“LA Monumental” (Montauk): Large-scale sculptures by Matt Johnson, Paul McCarthy and Nancy Rubins are on view at the Ranch through November 15.
“The Disappearance of Landscape: Oakleyville” (Water Mill): At the Watermill Center through March 20, the show presents paintings, photographs, and sculptures by five artists from the mid-1960s to present day.
