“Chartering a boat from Sag Harbor to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard for a few days is my favorite. I enjoy spending as much time as possible on the water during the summer.”

“A dear friend introduced us to the Pridwin Hotel’s Wednesday night family barbecues. It is magical and a ‘time stood still’ experience with live music, a great view and delicious food. Casual fun! Duryea’s Orient Point is another go-to as well.”
Summer activities I enjoy with my grandkids.
“The children are easily entertained. In particular, we make sure the crab and eel traps are set on our dock. Early morning starts with discovering what may have been caught overnight. The squealing and wide eyes are precious to experience. They also enjoy hours in the pool or at the beach. Anything involving water, including a garden hose, keeps them busy and amused.”
Where are you watching the fireworks?
“Sag Harbor’s Bay Street and wharf are ideal viewing areas. There is a lawn for sitting in a beach chair along with music and great food/dining options nearby. Make an evening of it.”
