Since people are always asking me about real estate and lifestyle matters, we introduced a light and fun monthly Q&A about all sorts of topics.
Hot home and design trends and amenities that clients are requesting.
“I recently had lunch with the talented and friendly architect Pamela Glazer and we were discussing this same topic. “Resort-like amenities” seems to be an added wish list theme to many of the new estate homes in the early design stages. Making certain that there is functionality around hosting family and guests for potentially longer time frames and comfortable/flexible works spaces too.”
Spring buzz…something new that’s opening in the Hamptons that I’m looking forward to for season.
There are several new changes happening around Southampton Village, for example, the opening of Provisions on Hill Street next door to Paul’s Pizza. Buddha Berry frozen yogurt, waffle, sweets and coffee bar in Sag Harbor will open another location on Hampton Road. Goldberg’s Bagels will open with other key tenants in the Water Mill Plaza, which is also home to the fantastic restaurant Bistro Ete featuring the amazing Chef Arie.
Spring cleaning checklist around the house. This is the month to focus on everything outdoors.
“Open pools and check pool heaters. Turn on sprinkler systems and outdoor showers. Power wash mildewed patios. Prep lawns, yards and gardens for planting and fertilizing. Don’t forget to have the air-conditioning serviced so that your home is ready for the hot summer days just around the corner.”
A suggestion for a great exhibit, experience, service, etc., in the East End that I recently did and would like to share.
“It is a nice time of year for anything you can do outdoors while the weather is comfortable, beaches are quiet, parks are empty and being a part of the waking up of Spring and all things in nature.”
